Maintenance & supportREADY FOR WHAT’S NEXT.

A launch is the start of an operating product. Keep it useful with an agreed plan for updates, fixes, content changes and performance reviews, and a clear route for turning new requirements into the next release.

KEEP IT HEALTHY.
KEEP IT MOVING.

A dependable website needs attention after the big reveal. We turn maintenance, small improvements and incident response into an agreed operating rhythm.

THE DETAILS.
THAT DO THE WORK.

01

Know what is being looked after

We begin with hosting, dependencies, accounts and the current state of the code. A clear inventory makes it easier to define coverage, identify inherited issues and establish which tasks need a separate stabilisation project.

02

Change with a recovery plan

Routine updates should have a place to be checked before release. We agree backup expectations, staging access and a recovery process, then document important changes so the next person can understand what was done.

03

Turn feedback into improvements

Support requests are more useful when they have context, impact and a clear owner. We separate fixes from new requirements and maintain a prioritised improvement list so the product can evolve without an unclear queue of small requests.

GOOD QUESTIONS. CLEAR ANSWERS.

Details, considered.

A closer look at the decisions, dependencies and practicalities behind maintenance & support.

What is included in a support plan?

Coverage depends on the agreement: the platform, included tasks, working hours, response expectations and escalation route. A response commitment and a resolution target are different, and both should be stated clearly.

How are urgent issues handled?

We agree how to report an incident, what information to include and who can authorise changes. The first step is to understand the affected journey, severity and available recovery options.

Can we bring an existing website?

Yes, subject to an initial review. Repository access, hosting details, dependency history and documentation help us understand the system and identify any work needed before ongoing maintenance is practical.

BIG VISION.
CLEAR NEXT STEPS.

Good work is a conversation. You’ll know what’s happening, why it matters, and what comes next.

First, the right questions.

We get to know your business, your audience and what success should look like. Together, we turn ambition into a clear project brief.

LET’S CLEAR
THINGS UP.

01

Is ongoing support included with every project?

Support coverage is agreed in the project proposal. The agreement should state the handover period, included tasks, response expectations and how additional work is quoted.

02

Can you maintain a website another team built?

Potentially. We first review the code, hosting, dependencies, documentation and account access to understand what can be maintained and whether stabilisation work is needed.

03

What information helps you investigate an issue?

Share the page URL, what you expected, what happened and the steps that reproduce it. A browser and device name, an approximate time and a screenshot of the problem can help. Avoid sharing passwords or private customer records; any necessary account access should use an agreed secure method.

04

How should updates and backups be managed?

The maintenance plan should name the owner of each system, the update review process and the backup schedule. For higher-risk changes, a staging check and a rollback route may be appropriate. A backup only becomes a dependable recovery option when restoration has been checked against the agreed needs.
